@thj@mastodon.cloud I think that has less to do with how early you present it and more to do with how it was presented. As a kid I was never shown a thing and simply told it was so (if I was I rejected it).

What I was taught is why the math is the way it is, how to derrive it, use it, how to understand it, at a young age. I'd say this is the only way to learn it in a way that is valuable. Just memorizing formulas isnt going to help anyone and will give overconfidence however.
