@cowanon I'm not a centrist, though I can understand why it might be the best term you have to describe what I am.
A centrist implies on every issue you take some moderate middle ground between the two. That is sometimes true for me, but more often it takes one of two forms
1) The idea I find to be largely fundemental so either embrace it in a fully left of fully right manner
2) I do not find left or right solutions to work at all and have a lack of insight as to the nuance, clouded by pureism to the point of not developing remotely useful solutions. In this case I tend to pick a solution that is completely off the spectrum
I'll give examples of 1 and 2 to make it easier, but the vast majority is #2 for me
1) My view on guns is mostly in line with conservatives. I feel there should be little to no restrictions, that any gun the government is allowed to own and use against its own citizenry should be able to be purchased by its citizens. I do not approve of govt registries and such.
2) My view on healthcare is a good example. I do not support free-market or socialized healthcare. My solution would be co-op based healthcare where the owners are the people purchasing the insurance/service thus eliminating greed but keeping free market pressures.
@cowanon this should be interesting ::watches::
@cowanon ehhh she didnt say anything all the insightful buh eh ive seen more edgy lordy edgelords before :)
True but she’s funny and pretty~ >I’ve seen more edgelordy edgelords Oh?? @freemo
@cowanon She is pretty :)
2) Sounds like a wise choice for many left-right issues. Oh, speaking of centrists, the following is a young edgelord’s take on it if you want for fun and laffs:
