What I love about this the most is that now i means the USA is no longer the only nation ont he face of the earth to have collected and own space rocks (of which other nations only have samples on loan.

Before now this meant it was possible for the US to confiscate any moonrocks own by private owners as they knew for a fact they must have been stolen from the USA who has never sold off any of their rocks

So once china has some rocks too and the source of such rocks in the free market become harder to track to the nation of origin it would effectively make it psudo-legal to buy and sell moon rocks again since it would not longer be easy to make a case against it.
