Whether you think trans peopel are weird, unnatural, mentally unhealthy, or whatever else you tell yourself to justify being hateful I have to wonder, why would any of that, if it were true, even be a reason to not care about someone, or at least to want to see them happy.
To be honest most hate is hard to understand in general, but this just seems particularly absurd. In the end when I see it I cant help but assume its just a reflection of the persons on internal mental issues, whatever they might be, and less about the groups they target.
@freemo Is it possible to have a dissenting opinion on current medical protocol without being hateful?
@likho Hateful according to who? me? Ultimately it depends on what that opinion is and why, but yes its possible, even if your opinion is wrong it is still possible. The devil would be in the details.
@freemo According to you. Overall, I think your post oversimplifies several issue spaces and makes a strong assumption/accusation of hatred.
@likho Well it certainly over simplifies, I have neither the time or the energy to go in full unabridged detail on a subject as expansive as that one.
As for making a strong assumption or accusation of hatred, how. I literally said "people who hate" I made no assumptions or accusations as to who qualifies as someone who hates. If you dont hate trans people then clearly I wasnt addressing you, if you do then I was.
The fact that you automatically feel accused or assumed of being hateful simply because I said hating trans people is bad might reflect on you more than me, either as someone who is yourself hateful, or as someone who is often wrongfully accused of being hateful, aand are just projecting.
Since I dont know you and you have not yet made any assertions that suggest hate I will not make any attempt to label you either way.
@freemo Maybe you could recheck your wording on the opening post. You used "you" e.g "whether you think".Addressing the reader and making these statements is why I thought your post is assumptive and accusative.
@likho That seems like wanting interpritation. Did you seriously read the usage of the word "you" to a general audience and assume that I must of meant that every single person who read what I wrote therefore must be hateful towards trans people except myself?
Perhaps your not a native english speaker but I assume you anyone reading that, aware that it is a general statement made to the general public, would be well aware of the fact that it is not intended accuse all people who happen to read those words to be the target of my statement.
@freemo If I used "you" in a simlar way, I would've been slapped pretty hard by my English language arts instructors and not for the issue of the way they read it.
@likho If i were writing a professional or formal level of some kind maybe. In casual english, it is perfectly correct.

As I said no native english speaker would ever read what I said and take it to mean that I was accusing anyone who happened to read the post of being hateful. I am quite clearly referring on to the people who are hateful but dont otherwise specify who that might be.
Either way, this is a pointless debate. Clearly when you read it you completely misunderstood what I was attempting to say, whether your fault as the reader or me as the writer isnt all that important. I have since clarified my point and explained what I meant. So now if you wish feel free to comment on what I actually intended to say rather than what you incorrectly interpreted me as intending to say. Or dont, and move along, up to you.

I thought your post was poorly written. As you weren't intent on putting effort in to it, I fully recognize this conversation (what you consider a debate) is pointless.

@freemo It's not drama. You could re-examine your language and how it frames your thinking (as demonstrated here) or not. Have a good evening either way.
@likho You are literally 2 or 3 levels in on meta, and defensive about something that I have mentioned half a dozen times at least that wasnt accusing you of anything yet you continue to insist your being accused of things.
