Damn.. I'm begging on GitHub for a simple captcha on the Mastodon registration page so this doesn't happen but apparently it takes months of discussion first 
I just want a simple optional function, and not only for me but others with this same spam issue!

@stux This issue has been up for debate for over a year at least. If you want optional features mastodon isnt a good choice as eugene only adds features **he** wants, You either need to code up your own or use a fork or different software all together

@freemo I like Glitch so much better, it's as stable as vanilla maybe even more so with a reasonable server plus it has amazing features well within the "Fedi capable" limits so to say
