Yea i think we need to reinforce the #2a and make it clear the right to own guns shouldnt be infringed.
What we do need to fix though is the rampant and overwhelming mental health problem in the usa. When ever i travel back to the usa it feels like im visiting a mental hospital. With su h a pervasive toxic environment no wonder everyone keeps shooting and stabbing eachother.
@freemo I agree with part of your statement, but the fact that these people have the access to firearms, particularly those that were designed for nothing other than use in war, need to be addressed. A rifle or shotgun used for hunting is a different example than a rifle that can be modified into a semi-automatic with a high capacity magazine. The deer aren’t involved in an arms race.
No one has access to guns intendes only for war. They use fullynautomatic weapons in the military, those are already banned.
The way i see it if you are a true threat to killing someone you should be in a mental hospital. If you are on the streets, and therefore not a threat you should have the right to carry.
By the way you do realize the vast majority of ar-15 are hunting rifles... they are small game rifles in fact, theybarent even powerful enough to hunt deer. A deer hubting rifle is many orders of magnitude more powerful.
