Another note on hashtags: it’d be nice to know what a hashtag is about, or why it trended.
Sometimes, I want to know why something is trending, but it takes me time to figure it out.
I don’t know what a proper solution to this is. I’m not sure if I’d be happy with giving this power to admins.
Perhaps it’s something that could be edited in a way that #Wikipedia articles can be edited?

@realcaseyrollins Only good solution I can think of is an AI generating a one line summary based on how its used. Could get weird though because the usual trend is first a hashtag trends for some legit meaning and then it trends with people using it ironically. Every hashtag therefore inevitably winds up meaning two things, each opposites of eachother.

@realcaseyrollins You couldnt game it exactly... but youll probably find people spamming the same hashtag with all sorts of crazy shit en masse just to see what the AI makes of it. like all the nazis coming toghether and using #HitlerRocks in an attempt to create some sort of crazy hash tag trend

True…also you’d have to figure out what AI engine you’d include in the #Fediverse software, and how to get it to train itself
