@cheetah_spottycat maybe your instance doesn't fedarate and/or have that one blocked ?
@NexCarter But why would they? @woozle
qoto.org
sounds familiar... ah yes,. we blocked them awhile back, citing:
"An inclusive free speech instance," transmisia, COVID-19 vaccine misinformation, etc.
(That's also shown on our "About" page, under "Moderated servers".)
I'll change that to a "silence", so you can follow specific people there.
It's possible they shifted their policy since the ban, though it's hard to tell without access to their public timeline. I'm open to futher information/discussion on this question.
No our policies never changes, simply put, you misrepresented us.. either as an explicit lie or by accepting someone else lying about us without checking with us, my hope is its the latter.
All of our users are professionals in the STEM industry, we have routinely banned users who provided COVID-19 vaccine misinformation if they were not **verified** to be an expert in STEM, in which case their concerned may have been discussed. I myself specifically work in a field that deals closely with COVID-19 and its vaccines. The worst we have ever done inn this regard as a group is to perhaps voice some concerns over the fast tracking of the vaccine and bypassing of the usual FDA safety procedures to get it out, but thats hardly a conspiracy. Att this point any such concerns are long behind us and proven to be safe so it hasnt been an issue mentioned since. But it was a legitimate concern among the medical community that sparked much debate at the time, and is the only reason I can think of.
we also have always had very explicit and aggressive rules against transmisia and banned if someone should violate that, so this seems quite concerning. If there is such an incident and it was reported it would have been quickly met with a suspend.
I challenge you to link to even one incident backing the above claims.
@NexCarter I do apologize if my comments sounded like they were kind, that wasnt my intent. What gave you that impression, perhaps I should reword itt.
@NexCarter I do hope it doesnt sound that way to others. I certainly was upset to hear lies but I didnt want anyone to feel attacked.
@freemo to me it sounds a bit angry. But that can be totaly dependet on the reader and language barriers! I'm a german potato and maybe read the english different than someone else :)
