When was your earliest memory?

@freemo My earliest memory is from when I was less than a year old, pretty wild, but I am absolutely sure it *is* a memory and real. How about yours?

Sorry for the slow response, I've been very busy.

The earliest memory I know the exact date of I was 4 years old, when my mom got a new car and I was playing in it. I remember the day she got it well.

I have an earlier memory from when i still was in the crib and before I could talk of my mom holding me and singing to me. I distinctly remembering saying "mommy" back when it was the only word I knew.

@freemo No worries, no rush, especially considering the topic at hand ;) It seems like maybe there are two kinds of first memories - a really early one (mine is also in the crib, looking through an open door into the corridor, my grandma passes by, sees I'm awake and calls for my mom, somewhere before the 1 year mark) and then another more more conscious one sometime at 3-4. I wonder what sort of thing kicking on does that signify.
