@lzg thats odd cause i always saw it as the opposite. The benefit is likely real but also minimal, but it has a much bigger effect on what people think about you. So i often see it as something people do when they care a lot about what people think more than anytbing. Its largely virtue signaling more than its done for the effectmts IMO
