I have to say, I am rather surprised virtually everyone (I am the one voter for 3-point) prefers a 2-point sling.

One reason I love a 3-point sling is they can be used as a 2-point or 1-point with only a moments notice.

What is your favorite style of rifle sling for an AR-15? #Gun #guns #Rifle #Rifles #2A

@freemo I do have a 1-point sling but I rarely use it, in my experience the rifle dangles all over the place if you let it hang freely. 2-point slings are pretty versatile (neck only, left shoulder, right shoulder, rifle on the chest, rifle on the back etc) and still easy to use.

@torparskytt Yea I see 1-point sling as really only useful in certain situations, They are nice only when your actively shooting or about to.. If you have to stow it to the side you have to use another bungee to hold it and then its slow to retrieve.

2-point is good enough I'd say, but not nearly as good as a 3-point IMO... 3 point can do everything a 1 and 2 point can do, and more. Release the retaining clip and it becomes a one point, reattach it to stow it.. but your head throught he center loop and now its a 2-point.

Me personally no matter what style you prefer its hard for me to see a reason for anything but a 3-point.. but clearly few people like them and find them a hassle so for some reason im the odd one out.
