Man what a sigh of relief now that I'm back on moving back from

I can be productive again!

I even stepped up my game and added an extension that initiates auto-tab-groups based on rules. Then I setup a bunch of collections in my bookmarks. So now I can open up all my starting tabs at once and they will all auto sort into their appropriate groups!

I love a good organized work space!

@trinsec Breifly... it threw errors when i tried to run it and i didnt have time to investigate what was up.

@freemo@qoto.org Weird. Well, they've been adding features precisely for tab management. Tab stacks, workspaces, etc etc. So if any it's probably worth a try for you. I don't use those extra features myself as I don't really need them.

@trinsec I am all for trying it out at some point.

Chrome has the advantage in terms of support and out of their 30 or so extensions on one did what I wanted (automatically generate tab groups based on rules)... so id be pretty impressed if they cover that as a smaller entity.

Tab groups are nice but its only half the equation... being able to bring up collections of tabs and have them automatically grouped wills ave me a lot of time in terms of productivity.

@freemo Yeah unfortunately #Firefox is lacking when it comes to tab grouping. I do hope to see some improvements in that area. But in pretty much every respect it's great for me. (My personal killer feature is multi-account containers)

@diazona

To me with someone who tends to have 100+ tabs open lack of tab management is completely unworkable.

I tried various approches like using multiple windows with extensions to switch between them... all the solutions were buggy to the point of being unusable.

@freemo Yeah that makes sense. This is why I hope Firefox catches up in that area. Personally I rarely have more than 15 or so tabs open at a time, so it's not that big a deal for me.

@diazona I dont think I can even get **started** until I have at least 15 tabs open :)

@freemo How much do the #Google pay you?

#Chrome doesn't have Profiles. And it sells your data. It is AGAINST your #privacy.

@Revertron

They pay me nothing.

I am not actually using google chrome im using a fork.

Yes google is against my privacy.. but with firefox being **completely** unusable for me, and with vivaldi not even running cause I get errors, it is the only solution where I can actually be productive on any level.
