For transparency only reason I am not following is I generally avoid commercial or advertising profiles. In addition your following to follower count is going to raise some huge red flags to folks here. Some servers may even ban you for "follow spam", so be careful there.

@freemo How does Mastodon work? You have 32,000 followers but your posts get little to no engagement (little to zero likes, comments, reposts). Why is that?

@FluentInFinance Well for starters you arent likely to see many of the likes as a lot of times that delays on displaying across servers. As for comments, not sure what you mean I've had some of the highest reshared posts on the entire network. I was the very first person to ever get a post on YCombinator for example which had huge engagement.

Depends on the post though, boring things wont get huge engagement per set.

Also keep in mind your on mastodon.social which heavily blocks most of the fediverse (not as bad as some servers though) so by default you cant see a lot of comments or posts (And people cant see you).

@FluentInFinance Also keep in mind that since I've been here many years I probably have a larger percentage of my followers that are now idle than someone who is newer.
