I never heard goated to mean that...
Goated usually means, in my expiernce, to be manipulated into thinking you want to do something you really dont.
@freemo It's from "G.O.A.T.", Greatest Of All Time, used a couple years ago to refer to... I don't actually remember which basketball player, and then Gamers picked it up and decided to make it weird. You usually see it in combination, like "based and goated".

I aged out of the slang treadmil around 2010, I dont have a pony in this race anymore.
