Though there are easily hundreds of such examples if you bother to just google for it. I just did a search and there seem to be entire lists compiled of examples.

That is certainly true, people have killed eachother for plenty of reasons and the Abrahamic religions, or religions more generally, do not have a monopoly on that idea.
