Israel was attacked by armed groups on October 7, and in the months that followed, Israel has attacked Gaza.

Do you think Israel has done enough to protect civilianthe lives in Gaza from October 7 until now?

@randahl

1% of the civilian population murdered. Half are children. They have also killed the most journalist in a warzone of any war, reaching a world record.

No what they are doing hasnt just caused many civilians to die, it is literal genocide and has been for a long time, even before the current hostilities.

@konfun

By figures that have been confirmed by multiple third party sources as accurate, including the UN.

@randahl

@freemo @randahl nope. Directly from hamas heath agency without any independent investigations.

@konfun

Nope, UN has explicitly stated the numbers reported from the Palestinian health ministry were accurate numbers. So again as I said, it has been UN confirmed.

@randahl

@freemo @randahl you mean the same UN whose members were caught participating in October 7 masacres? The same whose funding went directly to building tunnel networks? What a credible source.

@greg @freemo @randahl good one. My point still stands. Focus on “civilian deaths” is an attempt to discredit Israel’s right to defend itself. All these argiments are fabricated to guide the narratives to “Israel is bad” instead of having well rounded conversations of what is war and why Hammas spent decades and billions to embed their military instalations into civilian population. If you read war law, this is an actual war crime.

@konfun @freemo @randahl war crimes don't excuse war crimes. Who would you trust to verify the civilian deaths in Gaza directly caused by the IDF? And if it was verified from a source you trust that 10K civilians were killed by the IDF, would it change your position?

@greg @freemo @randahl numbers don’t change anything actually. Who is responsible is another matter. Also, war laws are pretty specific in that regard.

Follow

@konfun

I think its kinda funny that you claim the UN has no authority then cite the very laws the UN is the authority of as an excuse for why Palestine is the bad guys.... you wont be getting points for consistency thats for sure.

@greg @randahl

@freemo @greg @randahl UN has no authority over War Law. Wehat are you talking about? It is guided by all kinds of international laws but it has absolutely no way to enforce it. Only socereign states can.

@konfun

So which sovreign state is the authority that enacted this law that palestine is bound to that you cite they are violating?

@greg @randahl

@freemo @greg @randahl According to any international laws or agreements, Palestine has never been a state since Palestians refused all two state proposals so far. Not to mention their gial is ‘From the river to the sea’ if you know what I mean.

@konfun

> what question? Could tou [sic] form it more clearly?

This is the question:

> So which sovereign state is the authority that enacted this law that Palestine is bound to that you cite they are violating?

Laws are enacted by governing bodies. International law is enacted by either a governing body (such as the EU) enacting it, in which case the countries that are members are beholden to it, or via treaty. You are claiming Palestine is in violation of international law. So what governing body are they a part of where they violate said law? Or which treaty did they sign which has such law in it?

Clear enough?

@greg @randahl

@freemo @greg @randahl You don’t need to sign a treaty to be responsible for it. Jus like if you cone to another nation it does not mean you can commit crimes since you are not a citizen.

@konfun

god you make less sense every time you post.

Ok so how do you determine what is international law then in this fictional framework of yours? Lets say you have two separate international treaties signed by different parties with opposite and conflicting "international law"... which one is the real law? Say just 2 nations, or 3, or 10 agree to something, is it international law then, how many need to agree before its international law.

And you say **I** have no clue, Ha!

@greg @randahl

@freemo @greg @randahl thanks for explaining the international law for me. That’s exactly how it is. That’s the essense between unipolar and multipolar worlds. That’s what “western values” mean when we talk about common set of values and norms.

@konfun

I didnt explain anything, i asked questions about the absurdity of your assertion. Meaning yet again you arent even reading.
