Just saying

"Fifty years ago, on March 31, 1968, Lyndon B. Johnson appeared on national television and announced that he was partially halting the U.S. bombing of Vietnam, and that he had decided not to seek his party’s nomination for president. “There is division in the American house now,” Johnson declared."

@Mary625

If actually made a move like this and rejected his own party I would change my stance and actually consider voting for the guy. Though with Bidens extremely racist track record even then it would be a hard sell. But that would go a long long way to make me consider him.

On the flip side even if Trump pulled this he still wouldnt get my vote. But thats another matter.

@freemo

You couldn't pay me enough to vote for trump. There's not enough money in the world.

That orange pos, thanks to man, is way ahead in the polls. Biden needs to drop out now and let someone run who can beat trump. At this point, almost anyone else would be good.

Biden's ego is going to get us trump. Just like Hilary's did

@Mary625

I agree with this, I mean there is no way Trump could get me to vote for him, no recovering it. There are things biden can do (like apologize for his racism and show sincerity in that effort) but he never would, so looks like no **real** hope for Biden either.

A non-biden democratic nominee who I could begrudgingly support would be the best I can hope for at this point. Even the third party candidates arent looking so great right now (but still better than Biden or Trump).

@Mary625 Its a world were people with good intentions are their own worst enemies. Most democrats, and even many republicans, are well intentioned. But they are so bogged down by idealism and dogma at the surface and fighting with people over being nuanced, that they turn into raging asshats most of the time on both sides. Which is just making things worse.

@freemo

I probably would have agreed with that assessment years ago. But the calls for death to immigrants from the GOP and the calls for death to Palestinians from some democrats makes me believe that even good intentions are gone from most of humanity.

It's sad af

@Mary625

Good intentions can be twisted into very evil things at times. Intentions dont mean shit when your system of morality is so corrupted that you will make these sort of behaviors.. But i maintain that even these things, in their own twisted minds, are done because they believe they are serving some greater good (even if they clearly are not).
