X (formerly Twitter) is overrun with hate speech, misinformation, and conspiracy theories, much of it driven by its owner. It’s time we take action by stepping back.

Ironically ive found about the same amount of hate speech in the fediverse as a whole. The difference isnt the network but rather the tools you have to interact with it. Here i can block servers and lets me control my feed. There you cant really block people in large quantities so you cant solve the issue. But the background rate of hate speech seems about the same to me.
