it is so fucking crazy that this orange doorknob is being sworn in AGAIN after the shit he's done

and on mlk jr day!

and it's just as crazy that my dad supports him, considering that my dad is an immigrant with mixed race kids 🤦‍♀️

but the most important thing is that my dad is racist as fuck towards blacks and latinos (other ethnicities too, but especially those). that's how this cheetoh fascist won, just simple bigotry

take care of each other, everyone 🫂

@ina

I totally agree. Its really hard to take anyone serious who supported Trump, the man is a clown.. Or Biden for that matter, they are both clowns. Its really sad when 99% of you americans support one of those two clowns.

@freemo

in my defense, i voted for biden in 2020 cause i knew what the alternative was

and again in 2024, i voted for democrats down the ballot in an effort to mitigate the suffering of the people in my country

unfortunately, for a lot people, the gaza war was the last straw and they didnt bother voting

i hope all the people who chose not to vote get fucked. you had a chance to help your fellow citizens and you didnt because you cared more about making a point than helping people

@ina

Agreed, those who didnt vote at all are not helping anyone. The 1% who actually voted 3rd party are the only people who have a clue.

The fact that you voted for one incompetent choice because you didnt like some other incompetent choice, when you had 5 choices all because of some mass hallucination about a 2 party system is sad, and why america never stands a chance, they are just too easily manipulated into mass hallucinations.

That said ill give you points for at least having the good sense to know Biden (and trump) was a shit choice, even if you still voted for him.

@freemo

i disagree that the people who voted 3rd party "have a clue"

there's only 2 realistic choices in america: republican and democrat. and one of them has aligned completely with fascism

i dont like the democrat party but fuck me, at least they're not fascists and harris actually had plans for improving things!

we will never have a "perfect" candidate in america that will satisfy everyone. but what we do have is the right to vote and the responsibility that goes along with it

@ina

Voting for a incompetent choice when you dont have to and when there is no rason to is not "realistic" in any means. You dont win points for voting in a bad president.

If you think Democrats arent fascists, and that they had actual good plans for improving things then yea i can understand why you voted how you did, but thats exactly why id say "doesnt have a clue" because nothing could be further from the truth. The Democrats consistent support of genocide, censorship and racism demonstrates they are on the same level of fascism as the republicans.

No one wants "perfect", I am not mocking republicans and democrats because they are just shy of "perfect" I mock them because both of them are full on evil, neither even approaches perfect, they are the bottom of the barrel, both of them.

@freemo

if one incompetent person is far less dangerous to the american public than the other (biden/harris to trump) then i absolutely will vote for them. it's not about winning points, it's about standing up for others and doing what you can to help them

i don't believe that democrats are fascists (i think they're disgusting in their own way) but i see that you disagree with me on that and i can't change your mind. i simply cant trust republicans to not make things worse in america

Follow

@ina

> if one incompetent person is far less dangerous to the american public than the other (biden/harris to trump) then i absolutely will vote for them

Thats the point, he isnt "far less dangerous"... at best you can argue he is "marginally less dangerous". They are both ok with genocide of an entire race of people, calling either of them marginally less dangerous is completely inaccurate.

If you dont think the democrats are facists then you have proven my point about americasn voters, this is the sort of nonsense they will say with a straight face.

By the way nothing personal just to be clear, while I think your opinions here are completely absurd I am not one to call a person an idiot just cause they have idiotic opinions. Just as i wont take it personally that you may feel the same about my opinions.

@freemo

when i said "far less dangerous" i also said "to the american public". this is because i really can't do much for people in other countries. not that i dont care about their suffering (i feel awful for palestinians getting bombed to hell and back) but unfortunately there's very little the average american can do for them. but we can do far more to lessen the suffering for the people in our own country

@ina

When your president is willing to mass murder an entire nationality/race of people they are absolutely a danger to the american people. "Sure my friend murders people all the time, but he is safe, he never murdered me". Also those same actions directly put us in the spotlight of attacks and retaliation as we have already seen. It directly puts us all at risk.

@freemo

you say it's "nothing personal" but you're insulting me and my fellow voters and i do take offense with that

i'm gonna end this here because it's clear we're not getting anywhere with this. you just said some rude things and i don't feel like engaging anymore. i've got my stance, you have yours, and that's it

best of luck

@ina

> you say it's "nothing personal" but you're insulting me and my fellow voters and i do take offense with that

No im not. Im insulting an idea you agree with, Insulting ideas **is not** insulting a person. Something americans forgot a long time ago it seems.

Im sorry you feel attacking an idea is the same as attacking a person, but your right, if that is how you feel then its best we end this now, it wont get anywhere.
