When you realise someone's logic or will is not the same as yours, this puts an entirely different spin on 'understanding'... 

I believe that there is a relativity and type of logic between us all that stems from simply being human...

(being alive, generally not wanting to be dead or to enjoy and the self respect of be taken care of well and not sold / treated as possession / captured etc...)

...all of which is an going conversation perhaps more than just 'logic', but the will is also important here as it's not just logic on it's own. :/

So if conversation is not there there one could say the rest with it also.
