Do you think it works to have an account and use commercial things like Facebook in order to get your Free Software / Freedom movement going ?
SUMMARY
YES - You think it works overall as 'better' to use BigTech to get the word out about causes.
We can use them more than they use us individually or as a group
NO - You think it's probably "selling out" or more bad work done than any good and USA resources are far superior - they wouldn't let any roots grow from their platforms. In fact it could also be measurably just an easy detection system / alarm ringer / honeypot so you are baited and they just develop worse or just block the way far up ahead in the road what they see trending and when 1000 people repeat the same "we'll do this")
MAYBE - You think maybe we can cheat superior / fast technology or get best out of them somehow (maybe use the algorithms) or use a low tech mixture (for example, just making 1 post via TOR and never touching the account again, cleanest in and out but considering your previous IP history / existing accounts will probably be associated although it's not always 100%)
@canwolf
Indeed - just did some quotes recently...
- mentioning endlessly doing things,
- keeping on their domain / hard to exit [company take overs, new boss, restructuring, GitHub maybe next]
In summary we are also learning what we get into and natures of business that can be fragile anytime... We didn't know what else to do with our time...
And slowly we are learning / being more reserved in putting anywhere our data! It's all risk! :)
P.S I sent you some DM's before, no reply have a check (lol I mean scroll back a few months!!!)<--- But seriously I've asked #Mastodon to add email-like sorting of messages (by data etc) since also people are using it as quick-private communication! I'm sure my #suggestion will get there... I can find it if you like... at least the search get through some of the nested data / messages...
