Petrol is Epitome of the problem...

The shortcomings people will see if they haven't already by the price increases and everything needing petroleum / petrolatum.

At the end (and similar to the beginning) you / people will realise it wasn't theirs and giving the average people access to normalise their life and become consumers for life would mean using it for a lot of insignificant 'work'*... <-- (*and the politics of who judges and makes jobs available for those types of work and not the other types.)
... and then people realise this is the crucial point (or leverage) in which their life almost can't exist without petrol.

We all have been over-burning for a while for the most mundane tasks or for what communally should be done and shared (with petrol or totally without) in order to preserve and even increase taking care of people (not profit).

The problem with petrol is as in the beginning as it is in the end,.
Towards the Mad Max style because the system's patterns itself.

Don't forget the tax that goes to those that actually oppress you.

Filling gas / petrol... arguably gets you oppression.
Oppression means for you as governments get richer / less satisfied or for those countries it was 'taken' / stolen from / sold by.
