- Be unhelpful
- Tell others to avoid
- Block

Be aware of the Collaboration Barriers. Stop trust killers with regards to…

- Experiences & Assumptions: “It won’t work! I don’t trust them! What’s the point?”
- Skills & Procedures: “Where to start? Who’s responsible? How will it work? We are so different!”
- Culture & Incentives: Why have to change? No resources or time! No incentives to collaborate"
- Process Concerns: “Not enough time! We need time! Who’s the process’ owner?”

Overcome barriers…

- Ensure there is a Shared Purpose. Take the time to agree on…
- Common expectations
- Common approach
- Common process
- Roles & responsibilities
→ Put them into a Team Charter
→ Plan for the best and have a contingency plan for the worst

- Establish a Trustworthy Process. The drivers are…
- Openness
- Integrity
- Competence
- Inclusion
- Respect
- Fairness

- Ensure there is a Visible Impact…
- Agree on Results, on Outcomes, on Impact
→ Make them explicit!
→ Make visible the impact of your work in the real world!
