In relation to #Penpot VC investment deal I decided to respond directly to the CEO on the #community forum, to state my concerns about the impact that will have and damage to #trust and #trustworthiness I already witness here on the #Fediverse and #FOSS circles.

Just received a reply from #penpot CEO @diacritica who btw I am delighted to find on the #Fediverse.

I think it gives handholds to think about ways that reassurances for the #FOSS movement can be provided in an interesting community initiative.

Like mentions of "shared ownership", "traditional playbooks being outdated" and "big topics around open source".

In that case the focus and strategy should be prominently to assure, attain and keep the trust needed for healthy relationships.

LISTENING CIRCLES INTEREST YOU?
If anyone wants to circle around these topics more openly I think I can managethat nd do some tests. This would helps the whole scene (coders and non-coders) catch up on all levels and actually have fun hearing other people's thoughts. The movement(s) I think desperately need practise in the speaking and listening circles and more audiable human forms of contact as there is quite enough of the text around but not much interaction you can jump into the now (I could do a test with few people evaluating or hold something loosely a few times a week to get things going). Thought on that? / Would it help you and people (we could do notes after for the gems during tlkign that can be the turbo plugged in to doing things?)
