Really enjoyed the recent @LateNightLinux episode 267 where they interview Chris Barnatt from the outstanding #explainingcomputers Youtube channel around some of the unfortunate aspects of the #linux community, gatekeeping, and why being more pragmatic about our open source evangelism.

Big up to these folks in general. The Late Night Linux family are, the only Linux podcasts I listen to. Can't recommend them highly enough.

I encourage free software links that filter adverts on google youtube, therefore the channel link for LateNightLinux is:

(use these filtered links -
LateNightLinux doesn't even use them on their own podcast page)
@invidious
@freeschool @feoh @invidious Chris is running a YouTube channel so we linked to his YouTube channel. Don't try to FOSS shame us with your bullshit.
"Don't shame me"... reaction by LateNightLinux...
@LateNightLinux
Linux-loving people blocking without saying why 😕 🤔
People just telling people to FOFF with their FOSS idea- even though I said it wasn't intended...
https://mastodon.cloud/@LateNightLinux is about Linux and moderated logical speech towards understanding... BUT THEN BLOCKS COLD.
Does this generate more feelings-
YES I think it does and what many don't want and why it's perpetuated ... (kind of like "I know why you want to hate me, because hate is all the world has ever seen lately").
Anyway I've been blocked (you can unblock me) just because I shared logically my measurable feelings - BLOCKED and WITHOUT reasoning...
So it is like "whatever" can move on but the nails are hitting home to people about the people work not being done with these examples and part of almost everything is futile for any work without better human contact / communication and better care who you block.
Or just not blocking as first thing lol. That is unfortunate.
