Things to know about Hubzilla:
/ Some Vocabulary
Since Hubzilla was and still is developed completely independently from both Twitter and Mastodon, it has its own language.
Here are some examples:
Mastodon: instance, server
Hubzilla: hub
Mastodon: account
Hubzilla: channel
Mastodon: reply (it's a post)
Hubzilla: comment (it's not a post)
Mastodon: subtoot
Hubzilla: comment (and unnecessary)
Mastodon: quote-post, quote-toot (perceived as a slander and harassment tool)
Hubzilla: share (what it does instead of boosting)
Mastodon: CW
Hubzilla: summary
Mastodon: personal timeline
Hubzilla: channel stream
Mastodon: local timeline
Hubzilla: pubstream (if it's local only)
Mastodon: federated timeline
Hubzilla: pubstream (if it includes posts from other instances)

I normally wouldn't have to. I could post so many characters that Mastodon rejects my post, and Mastodon only rejects posts over 100,000 characters.
The reason why I chose to cut this post up is because not few Mastodon users refuse to read anything over 500 characters. And they may pretty well be part of the very target audience of these posts.
