Money loses about X% per year... I'm having a look...
We know "Inflation" is added from what Banks / Government say,,, but is it just Inflation at 2/3%?
Dollar loses about 2% a year

(will try find source, I could be wrong so this post is just to confirm we're losing...)
Pictures suggest dollar halves ever 20yrs but could be more not just as "Inflation" but added profit pricing to make "effective purchasing power" even more different as you try to purchase anything big... There are laws to keep bread etc mostly ok (to keep us alive just about) but not for real money makers:
like rent, housing, fuel, heating, gas etc which can sky rocket AT ANY TIME:
As we saw in #UK 2023 winter prices with BritishGas #energy "profits" amazingly high suddenly checkmating people, (this is a bit of speculation forgive me but probably not always relative-to-war prices and just pure profit happened many times in #Britain at least!)
