Fuck's sake, #ErsteBank/#Sparkasse! 😠
You can't just put "Minor improvements" in the changelog for every update of your #Android app and then proceed to lock out all users that do not use Google Play Services in the newest version of your app.
Also, obligatory #FuckGoogle for making it impossible to downgrade apps to an older version or simply rollback updates. Now I can't properly do banking on my phone anymore 🫤
⚠️ Warning to all #Android users in #Austria to not upgrade to version 23.26.12 and higher of the #George #OnlineBanking app if you have a rooted phone or use something like #LineageOS, like I do.
I'm not sure whether the new version does not work because I don't have Play Services enabled or because I'm running a #CustomROM
@totoroot Do you have microG, or no google APIs at all?
When I had a similar case with Revolut, what helped was indeed hiding the root from their app via Magisk Hide (or whatever it's called in the latest version). But I have LineageOS + microG.
@totoroot @Som89 Another way *might be* to install old app in as separate container
- something like Hermit allows multiple instances of an app to try old one).

Just reaching for the stars there :)
