I talked to my 8 year old about her being neurodivergent, and she said she thought she was ADHD.
Later she was running her nails over the slightly ribbed wall paper. I asked if she was doing it because it felt nice, and she said she liked the noise.
The feeling was unpleasant "it made her feel like she wanted to scratch under her fingernails".
Do allistic people say or feel things like this I genuinely don't know.
