There was a lot of antipathy for the IBM PC and its clones among Atari ST users. They saw the PC as an inferior, ugly machine. The IGS animation I attached here (probably made by Steve Turnbull) is a good example of this feeling.

But by late 1991, when IGS reached its zenith, the Atari ST community was hemorrhaging users. And Larry Mears found himself turning to the dark side.

@kirkman Such a good read.

:question I wonder how to contribute to good people as I watch things go - my skills are not amazing but energy infinite

I'm a fan that is fast and persistent to help creators and offer disposable suggestions to find that one thing... and I feel giving money only is anyway debt / paper (signed as loans as false maths) is limited ... so if you can answer than I'd appreciate it as it seems people can't even handle fans or how fast someone can reply or many things psychological perhaps...

And create from creations basically = love of sorts ... it's also the downfall somewhat I'm trying to 'crack' or 'hack' even if things naturally dwindle there is a lacking of human mindset / giving of another kind...
