I’ve been in a bit of a funk today, but getting through it. Hearing from a psych that there’s nothing more he can do for me with the ADHD and no other medications I can take is not a very hopeful response. I was holding back tears during the appointment when he said that. There was still some hope I could take a stimulant with the Strattera, but because I have no impulse control, the stimulant would just make it worse. I’ve been reading/listening to ADHD books. Doing what I can to get by. Hoping better days are ahead.

@ashleyspencer Not sure if it helps to offer anything but if talking helps (at any level) let me know...

Can also send audio voice as the real-life input can be soothing to listen as another real person (we don't get enough of that) and then optionally constructive if it keeps us busy in the right way when we talk about our potential solutions (problems) or help do something about it / remind each other gently or at least feel together in the many sorts in learning).

Anyway, I raise a warm soup in your name now as toast to you!
Hope it works! 🍲 🙌 🏆

@ashleyspencer The soup as a drink to toast is a bit original - but it is the truth about having soup today!... I know the rest might not help but feels like we're all getting nearer than most people regarding 2-way conversation (don't let the 'social' in Mastodon 'social' fool you, many are one way 'broadcasting' which is ok and a type of 'normal' that I hope changes).
