@juliewebgirl I need to do this but with those that don't reply (like when someone doesn't reply at all even after asking again and saying it's ok either way - when it's just nothing).
So to do the cleaning are you just looking one by one from your settings ?
And if they are interesting do you consider sending a message ? Just everything is not always deliberate and Mastodon type interfaces can be a bit chaotic ? (they might find you again also but for those super-interesting maybe).
Thanks for any tips.
Yeah I just look at my "following" and if they don't follow me, I just close my eyes (figure out speech lol) and click unfollow. I kept some bots like the one that shows the color of the sky in Seattle every day and maybe if they caught my eye as something I follow and totally understand that I'm not going to be followed back like a celeb. I think there are 2 ways this inequality has happened...
1) They requested to follow me, and I followed back then accepted. (I never accept if it's someone I won't follow back) and at some point, they decided I wasn't for them (I do tend to rant a bit lol) and unfollowed me
2) I found them interesting, followed them but they never followed back
3) I also found a few so far who had blocked me (see above re ranting lol) (which also happened today prompting this)
Sometimes it happens accidentally but I trust we'll find each other again

And the other answers:
➡️ yes this instance has unlimited text limit ( 65230 chars) and the CW is used to make things shorter / optional.
➡️ most of my toots are about unfairness - understanding it and then what to do about it
(in short it's therapy or circle here of being together online now that the "in-person" life is too conditional and too unhealthy / censored outside).
What can help solve things / everything are strangers and then optionally to make friends.
➡️ I do get it can be all too much - even answering this in one day - but checking hashtags in posts and skipping fast hopefully gets us there surely...
