This post was spot on although maybe "rent" isn't quite right for gas and some in the list, more like "#consumption, combustion, extraction" but in the end we buy #petrol YES -

#Taxes go back to #states that basically oppress it's own people to cooperate with whatever plans it has and externally hassle others for their resources to consume via #extraction and #importing it... causing #war inevitably (#resource war, #factions, #local people #losing #resources etc)...
