Looks like on here it's a thing to have an #introduction and I'm the one who still doesn't have one. Alright.
I'm a German zoomer who is considered left, while I'd consider it basic human decency & empathy. I go by he/him and try to support the #queer 🏳️🌈 community as an ally.
We should all work together to create a better world than this.
I like to play videogames like #Valorant, #Brawlhalla or sometimes even Quake III. Lately, I've been having fun trying out #Spelunky2 with a friend.
1/2
Quake 3 + free games (don't play them anymore for the un-progressive sides)... but happy to hear how others see it...
@Blyfh Interesting to hear you play Quake III occasionally - how / where do you play it with others?
It's a solid game but also I can't play these games either for many reasons
- 'wasting' of time online (non-progression of my skills also otherwise I might consider it not wasting but improving!)
- bandwidth (mentality 'playing' and also download speeds are a bit UNecological and again UNprogressive and empty packets at the end - unless there was more social and helping aspects to it)
- war games (just is I guess while as kids/adults we claim strategy and everything (true) it's also a bit repetitive mindless even in the sending and exploding of virtual rockets!)
Above is just an accumulation of feelings I had but again don't knock others (well I do but not if they really improve and mix other real-life aspects else it is 'killing time'). And while I accept 'nothing else to do outside' as totally 100% legit - we must create something else of a better way and better social.
Oh my that was quite a post written quick but also yeah feels fairly on point with me and things over the years (otherwise i was playing Q3 non-stop for example as a long list of anything I could download for free - but free isn't good either anymore!)
RealLife™️ Friendships vs Quake 3, HalfLife, Halo + free games (the less progressive feeling at the end)...
@Blyfh True games can be very distant from reality even though emulate soldier stuff you see on the news.
Just very much everything is / was like this so I feel like it was done 'too much', but true it may not make us the same in real life but a but frustrated at our girlfriends or mums!
Too much of the same basically in life seems to miss out on what basically "all of life" is anyway missing (it's not all the games fault there's nothing else much to do or not as much time to spend on various things as games can suck up in time).
So everything could teach us more about cooperative play / being and encouraging more #friendships / to increment trust.. like a kind of social which I'm sure lots of people want to learn the tricks from each other and you see the messages in chat but people ignore or don't want to chat while playing or feel weird because it's not like chess or other games you can stop and explain it for mutual growth / feeling / teaching.
But also I understand it's just a game :) And it's just a movie too sometimes for entertainment / time passing / bit of learning... but ultimately I think all of us eventually realise (if we are doing too many of the same types of empty #competitive activities) that we have to do more WITH each other together and build something (which is why #Halo was cool with my #housemates after work - because no longer were we against each other but we would play together and plan a day "against the #alien covenant" with all that action movie-type sequences in between and feeling as soldiers and agree a basic strategy per scenario / do trial and error ! Hehe...
So #Quake in that way was nothing compared to Halo (which came after so didn't feel so missing at the time as it had it's own revolution and still is a main engine to many things).
#HalfLife was also close to Halo in some #storyline
way (and Quake way) maybe with a bit of voice narration (maybe) or at least story line so #1player felt like you were on some kind of journey and exploration, not just simpler #quakearena with gladiators bombing non-stop. :)
So time for reality and creating our own games... #FreeSchool
(welcome!)
#Progression and #Primitive Fun - in real life? It's a fine balance but I do more in reality and use online minimally to messages to people as possible games to progress people (their mindset) not just material damage or consumption. Changing the mind / the #chess in time hehe :)
===================
For example I did a RealLife™️ "mission" today
===================
Going under cherry tree and collecting the pips and seeds in bucket... which will lead to "digging hole" mission and emptying bucket of seeds to see if 1 from 1000 (literally) will grow.. I did this with peach #tree and 1 grows in a great place I put lots there!
Ah life and it's #RealLife mini-games! If you ever need some idea what to do and run out of ideas. just let me know :]
