Listen, capitalism, what I really want right now is a reliable product label telling me that there's no generative AI content in a product.
You can already sell me stuff by loudly telling buyers with a label that it's without gluten, micro plastics or palm oil.
Go ahead, I beg you, label things that are free of AI pollution.

We'll start with a few 'level' of AI which show a colour coded band of each levels inclusion for example:

Though we might be better assume all of it does and working that way to cutting tech out a bit more since it's industrial lef and therefore eventually hardwired.

Funny, you write rather like an AI.
AI's answers might be what you call "Straight." The problem is they are often not "Right," making them a terrible tool where the stakes are high: e.g., medical advice.

@JR_Kelly I figured they collate data to be interpreted by humans /with the sources,being human can be flawed/downright wrong but you have a source. As for medical, taking all the possibilities for specific symptoms might reveal something a doctor who has little time to keep up might not have thought of. It always should come down o people but I see little difference from going through files and having a computer do it more efficiently

The problem with most "#AI" is that it's just #WastefulComputing as in:
It doesn't work at all or
It works at random or
It'll hallucinate solutions on the fly like some mansplainer.
Almost all search queries one would hand to it are faster to do by just getting a searchable text file if PDF and using Ctrl + F to find things in those.
I.e. if you want to find out if some medication is incompatible one just searches for that type & kind of medication in the safety sheet that has to be included in the box (at least in the #EU) and can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website.
I just don't see any results worth the excessive computational resources required in comparison to say #DuckDuckGo's #InstantAnswers which most of the time links to a decently reputable site when it comes to technical things.

Not sure what the solution is…seems too many are moving ahead with it without due dilegence. There is always a downside to a new technology😿

Business - Making money from people with increasingly less service / utility
@lillyfinch It's more that I think new ways of business and methodology is increasingly 'clever' or cheating people towards repeat business or to sell more or do something less almost and get away with more dubious things...
...which was always the case with business (making money out of people) but as time goes on more clever in it's own field while people are not as clued up about how things are and work, what for and why it actually may not serve them and serve those that actually don't like already...
and I thought my picture was cool about words being added to #dictionary that once didn't exist but when people use get added...

@freeschool I agree with you. In the past with barter or even once money came in one traded something or used money to get something that you needed. Now it’s all about convincing people they need crap they don’t need, less of it for more money and just making waste. It was a cute picture.

👍 AI today is 'SuperGoogle', a very powerful and useful tool. But nowhere close to "intelligent", of course.
I agree with your implication too. People are starting to think of stuff that has been worked on by AI to be "better" than a mere human could have done; "enhanced", as you say. This is, I think, a Very Bad Mistake.

However, at least here in the U.S. where 40% of Americans can’t read above 6th grade and clearly don’t understand critical thinking I think we’re doomed😿

Enhanced? I personally like AI for getting a straight answer w/ sources, would be great as a tool for doctors, but labels for what done and how
