The #EndOf10 is nigh. This time it's interesting. Previous #Windows iterations there was some grumbling, but in my memory it wasn't nearly this much back lash. I feel like Win10 plus the available hardware hit a balance of usability that most users found fine, and Win11 doesn't add enough to change.
Not everyone can just switch to #FOSS. I get that. But I'm curious how long it takes for people the realize that #Microsoft is pushing non-local accounts to make the OS a monthly subscription.
Linux vs Windows etc - User Interface...
@cameron_bosch @thatdnaguy The Linux community isn't the most dynamic when it onboarding or making it easier - but dual boosting via usb and other things have helped.
But the people are mostly in Tech / coding / fiddling land - not people orientate... WHICH IS WHAT YOU NEED to get people out of Windows and even improving Linux from demand of non-command-line users ⬅️ This is the line I think that needs to be redrawn constantly and while it's somewhat happening and safer that way (not from users perhaps!) and even some UI for packages exist - STILL I think you need User INTERFACE!! LOL ...
Ah the people playing linux playstation
might get that one day... I said to #Stallman - you want community you have to go get it and put people on it - no answer to those question but did answer my technical things! No wonder Tech people can feel alone!
and I *might* be wrong!
sudo install windowsinterface.pkg switch 1 switch 2 manually type this + try a dir somewhere on the system + find it in obscure-named directories
And you 100% need internet every 2mins for tutorials (if it exists!). <--- also getting better.
BUT Windows? ➡️ Download
+open self-excecutable
+ follow on screen instructions!
+ (pressing next mostly!)
Big difference!!
(again balance of easy = viruses
and hard = nobody uses)
Linux Playstation "for those who already" ™️ or else try alone!
