But if people keep watching them (like you evidently) and not something else then this also the problem (and opportunity) to socially do something else...
It is about gathering the good people more actively / socially and developing that - not just tech (which might seem it does but evidently even the best Mastodon can't achieve making us gather / collect the good / do more)...
So Main Point ➡️ MOSTLY I don't see you / others developing ACTUAL SOCIAL ACTIVITY at the same time as #soft. (Not saying you or 'everyone' in Tech is bad but it's such a missing part of life and actually getting to be a over-cooked sometimes since we have enough).
Actually building #trust or methods or #circles to make people more robust at the same time as all this software / tech / apps / etc is direly needed / very important...
Developing software only doesn't work... (alarm bells are ringing).
Positively I say this potential.
You can measure it by the #Trump / # Musk / #Bezos / Zukerberg bashing and all that time that could be invested in ourselves INSTEAD!

Also if you think life can work mostly Tech-based (and it's evident already)... also let me know.
The same #FoxNews, #Newsmax, or whatever #USPol is distraction - and remember with more-Tech ways we are still using them but they are using us (buying their storage, tooting about it and making all their links and people go round and round etc).
➡️ Waste of time to a large extent that we can RE-ROUTE back into ourselves as better investment and links (to our own shit, even if it's not as flashy as #America / #Holywood and frankly better #propaganda as #education as if needs be said that way).
Economy of #Attention is a value, it does give back to #community.

SO... Developing humans needs to be inside the #software development #lifecycle circle / social movement else it's too much tech and not much else but what what we had before with forums or whatever else mostly text based (just a bit more private now and fast but not humans really connecting as the daily driver also)...
Because people don't know how to speak to each other so this is the other main problem - we have nearly no good example or place online (just hate on TV / Internet) so believe we (or just let me do some stuff under your watch) have to #DIY all this to catch up socially.
We don't have a way or place to train / be together (I use #Jitsi but without organising by trusted, bigger known people like you, Jitsi is just empty place but good news is that tech does exist as a 3-click instant / no account / safer-than-#Zoom chat we can go into ANYTIME (even audio-chat only - I don't care for faces and this limits the bad potential).

TLDR;
➕ Develop people more
➖ Less software (now that you mastered it, just maintain or let others help you do that while pumping up the social building work).
More than happy to chat to you or anyone (even on your behalf) but we need some bigger names to help #trust (there are other ways but the start is important) and you have lots of people following so slowly / surely we can do it.
The same mistake as almost all other introvert techies are to talk machines all day, "develop the machine and code" every day, but near-0 human development both themselves and others. We have to crack this part for humanity also...

For others and us elsewhere we NEED THIS PART too at the same time as the #Mastodon social or #PixelFed else it's just all one-way stuff ( 🔂 and not 🔃 ).
Tech people maybe don't want to do this or even know how to do social themselves so let me say IT IS NOT COMPLICATED!

To avoid life developing the same monsters / introverts / frustration / emotional mess / uncommunicative people etc... we need some bigger heads to allow some tests (just #Jitsi audio chats) and that will encourage and embed more trust (it is measurable and can be documented if I do something bad in your name, but it's a MASSIVE MISSING PIECE without people in pyramids helping it along as alone nobody trusts or makes a way bad moments can be documented (like if something is wrong people could leave 'bad feedback' using mastodon or reason it - all good stuff for human #development).
Your thoughts please... and if not say "NO!" as a short #answer and just make it #clear you're not interested in real #social / non-#tech dev!
