An important PSA for people who are active on #Bluesky and who, upon hearing that the ICE account was officially verified, are saying: "I will just block it."
Blocking on Bluesky is NOT PRIVATE: it's very easy to see who is blocking any account by visiting sites that list that information.
I took a screenshot from https://clearsky.app, listing all the accounts that are blocking ICE (I pixelated avatars and usernames for privacy purposes).
The safest bet is to mute (that info is private) 😫
I'm well aware that posting this info on the Fediverse seems like a pointless exercise, but it's to raise awareness and spread the word to people active in BOTH places.
I was never really active on #Bluesky and entirely stopped using it months ago but there's no point in posting this info there because I have zero reach. Or rather: 1100+ followers and 1-2 likes (at best!) and zero comments for any post. It's like I'm shadow-banned.

#Projects could do this with some #participation but I guess it's "people-work" people want to avoid. I want to upgrade the mindset of people not hardware... adjust principles or priority while not wanting to damage them or their individuality. Better pooling together even 'manually chatting' #p2p.
Rather than text - really join forces / efforts (at #whatever speed just not 0 or 0.1). Now we're just a bit more private still inside the defensive / distant world of chiming in rather than really #building trust (a non #material thing) and friendship (real federation) and other people related things in themselves - rather than external #Trump-ism stuff.
Anyway I'll be available to chat in #Jitsi anytime this week - next year etc! IF anyone cares or wants to find a way ... 50% of this is just having the will to find a way...
I feel like you Elena and what you said about Bluesky is similar about Fediverse - nobody, dust, cat pics... shadow ban each other unless it's super-light / stanced stuff.
My account is a years of trying to ask people increase trust or get them people to use people, explore... (!.... a free or available resource almost) using them for free for free freedoms!... Nope.
Many don't have that 'ability' or maybe feel the need to *wait* for something else like organising. But most of this is just about individuals doing it, ad-hoc, nice-looking or not... just encouraging and incorporating all...
And it seems like when people are popular it's for mainly technical stuff not really chatting to the fans or Fediverse building stuff - it's not about working out how they help others contribute / participate en mass as collective.
Donate button, patreon, but not really... Banks don't work (in fact the opposite are doing badly) so it has to be the people work as they hold the 'values' best...
