Does anyone else do standing desk gaming? I'm really getting into it and generally, I much prefer it to sit-down gaming for some styles of games.
For a game like Halo where I can concentrate intensely, I really want to be standing. For something really mellow like let's say Persona 5 I'd rather sit.
Have you tried it? What do you think? And if you haven't I really recommend you try it, I'm loving it! #gaming #standingdesk
@gpowerf I do this for fighting games. Raise my desk to a good height and use my Snackbox Micro - makes me nostalgic for the arcades.
@empathe makes sense :)
@gpowerf How fast do you walk? I try to do 2.6-3.0 mph which is pretty fast to do while also thinking. I've almost walked off of the treadmill.
At 1.5 I can do anything I can do while sitting.
@goz people complain I walk too fast, so I get fast. :) My main problem with walking would be that it would spoil my aim on some games as I've been using gyro aiming. But it might be perfectly suitable for others!
@gpowerf I’ve been wanting to try it for awhile but have not been able to find a decent, well built #standingdesk that doesn’t break my bank account. Hope supply increases and prices keep dropping!
@Cocoo Mine is not decent and it isn't well built. It is horrible :) but it is what I have for now.
@gpowerf I like standing desk for fighting games where I'm using one of my arcade sticks.
I can't get my desk low enough to match the ergonomics of a stool and one of the Japanese style arcade cabs, so I raise it to be similar like the US style cabinets.
@gpowerf For fighting games it has a nice arcade feel, but I don't do it often. For mouse and keyboard, not so much.
Cool dumb thing to try: pair two detached Joy Con to your PC, which Steam now kinda sorta recognizes as a single controller, and enjoy the dumb Minority Report gaming.
