OK, I have everything working again on Crostini. And I will be very paranoid about regular Linux backups now!

@gpowerf mine got screwed up a few months ago and wouldn't load; had to nuke the Linux environement

@ben I don't know what happened to mine. Every time I tried to use sudo it expected a root password (which it doesn't have!) I also couldn't see the Linux file system via the ChromeOS file manager. Only solution I had was to nuke it too.

@ben Linux Beta has been solid under ChromeOS for me until now. I hope it is a freaky one-off...

@gpowerf I am not using beta, but I'm waiting for the next Debain stable eagerly

@ben sorry I mean that Google calls the Linux container for ChromeOS "Linux Beta". It has been Beta for ages! I'm running Bullseye in the container :)
