The big difference for me between #Farlight84 and #Fortnite is that I can actually win without being carried.
Here's me, MVP in my squad and we are the winning squad. That just makes the game way more fun! And yeah, I'm the only person in the squad playing with beta controller too, but gyro on #SteamDeck works very well with this game. Super smooth!
The game also has some improvements over #Fortnite , like:
1) There's no build mode. This is good for me as I don't like build mode.
2) There are respawns until halfway through the game, this gives you a chance to try again if you got killed early because you didn't manage to loot a gun.
@gpowerf re: point 1 - Fortnite's Zero Build is... very lively.
@DarkestKale it can be fun yeah :)
@gpowerf gave this a go this afternoon. Really fun! Though was the first game against/with bots cuz my squad won fairly easily. Wondering if that’s this game’s mobile roots. Thanks for the rec!! 🤓
@superpac yes the first game is against bots, but it gets harder as the game matches you against more and more experienced opponents.
And it does have mobile roots, which I think it’s why it’s so popular around the globe. You see a lot of people streaming it from tablets.
The game still remains loot dependent, get plenty of shields and good scopes early on and you have a massive advantage! There are less hiding places than in Fortnite so it's easy to pick off players from far away, even at Steam Deck resolutions.
