@peter It's a shame, traditional HTML Gmail is very nice and super fast, but I can understand Google's perspective on this one, if most users are on the new one and the new one has been out for over a decade I can see why they want to stop maintaining the legacy HTML email.

@gpowerf @peter I only remember using it once because of poor internet. And I don't really think it makes a huge difference in that case anyway. I'm sure someone out there will be salty tho...

@Nodlek @gpowerf Like you I rarely used it and then only when using a slow mobile connection.

I can see how some, especially those visually impaired, could be impacted by this.

@peter @Nodlek A use case is a boat with an Iridium GO connection. It's slow and the HTML version of Gmail works better.

@gpowerf @peter yeah fair enough. I am no expert so i thought that you might automatically cache the regular frontend for the page. I might test it out later.
