2 months ago, telling the media to own their instances was considered a "radical" notion.

I actually used to get into arguments with journalists about this.

But today, this is now a serious option -- one that publications are considering.

Hopefully, this movement towards ownership of instances spreads throughout the Fediverse.

I'd like to see this becoming normalized amongst celebrities too.

But let's go even further than this.

Not only should every media company and every celebrity run their own instance, every organization should have their own instance too.

This should be as normal as operating a website.

In fact, why not integrate most websites with ActivityPub?
