@lukecao @WhatYouMcCallit I agree with you and find instances of Mastodon a very interesting approach to social networks. I’ve already read here ideas to use them in very interesting ways, such as orgs creating their own instances and giving accounts to members of it (such us journalists, government agencies and so on), which will be the ultimate verification system. You can follow those instances to see all content from let’s say the WSJ, Nature, your government and so on or if you hate certain publishers you can ban the instance and not have to see their news show up in your timelines.

@iPabloSB @WhatYouMcCallit I just checked the WSJ account and found it looks the same as Twitter. Seems more content is coming, which is better the the eco on Mastodon

@WhatYouMcCallit @lukecao yeah I think in some weeks if this experiment works, but for now it is exciting to see things moving! It feels a bit like the first years of twitter, where people were experimenting to see how to exploit the new platform.
