Getting ready for a budget battle this weekend with an invited focus group.

- Flair Neo Flex 2024 version ($100)
- Gaggia Espresso Evolution ($250)
- Breville Bambino ($300)

Who will win the hearts and minds of local coffee geeks!

@coffeegeek @espresso I am so tempted by that Neo Flex to try a fully manual espresso machine! It looks like this new version provides amazing value for those 100$. Still, I’m saving for the 58 because if I get into manual espresso I want the best they can offer and I feel like it’d be a waste to get now the Flex. Looking forward to your assessment!

I do want to say the Neo Flex and the Flair 58 are worlds apart in use, build condition and such. The Neo Flex has a ton of "flex" in all the plastic, feels a bit like a toy that can produce real espresso. But it's $100.

The Flair 58 feels like a professional tool, one that can bang out shot after shot with good precision. Something to keep in mind.

@coffeegeek @espresso yeah my impression is that I might regret the 100$ expense instead of waiting and going directly for the 58. Specially if I’m going to pull 1 or 2 espressos a day the higher cost of the 58 will dilute over the span of years of use.
