#ESAEuclid has successfully passed its last critical launch 🚀 step: a few minutes before 16:00 UTC #ESA's Space Operations Center in Darmstadt, Germany, confirmed acquisition of signal from #Euclid via the New Norcia ground station in Australia.

It's time to party! 🍾🎉🥳🎊🕺🥂

Then lots of work ahead with one month of commissioning spacecraft, telescope, and instruments, then 2 months of calibration and performance evaluation before science operations and Euclid's 6-year survey will start.

Congratulations @ec_euclid on the successful launch and separation of the !!! I think any time something you've worked on (or care deeply about) launches into space, this is when you can't help but breathe a sigh of relief. Good luck with the hard work of spacecraft and instrument checkout! I can't wait to see what teaches us about dark matter and dark energy!
