A question for folks: Is it advisable for the typical user to use a continuously running antivirus/anti-malware software package on MacOS? (I'll put a poll but I'm even more interested if anyone is willing to elaborate or point to informative articles on the topic.)

Maybe that was the the best example. There’s a few tools under products that focus on something specific - ReIKey notifies if anything by is capturing keystrokes - I would say this is both privacy and security Skmve it is a possible indicator of compromise or malware. It’s a gray area - security is like an onion and many layers abound be applied. Adware is a big factor and i try to use an ad blocker at dns level and browser level.
