I now love long distance driving with driving assistance (autopilot to stay in lane, speed up slow down).

but... new annoyance on tesla "move the steering wheel" notice happen more frequently and with shorter tollerance. And now... "3 Strikes" and we turn off your autopilot for a "week-ish". Geez.

I think this was federally mandated. (it is only in US and Canada).

These interruptions are not making driving safer.

@brewsterkahle If they’re making you pay attention more often, they’re making driving safer. For the rest of us. Maybe when you’re behind the wheel, you should drive?

@jamiemccarthy

I understand the theory, but the practice is different.

"paying attention" means looking down at the screen in the middle of the cabin, not paying attention to the road.

this feels like one of those software features you were forced to add because your boss met someone on an airplane.

Perhaps the next OTA update will put ads there.
