I am watching a Netflix doc about a 1993 Pepsi promotion I am too young to remember existing, in which Pepsi a) advertised that you could get a $32 million fighter jet for 7 million points, and then b) also published in their catalog that you could make up the balance in points with cash as long as you had at least 35. And then they valued those extra points at 10 cents per point.
Their grand plan was that no one would seriously try or worse, succeed, to get the jet.
What humans did YOU know?
@eringiglio Such an entertaining doco. I remember the ad but in Australia it ran a little differently. Got to love a loophole to exploit. Like the more recent one where choc pudding labels became frequent flyer miles...
@eringiglio Ha. Have you finished it yet? The Canadian campaign gets a mention.
@jellycrystals roommate said she could not take another two hours of that many twists tonight so no :( we finish tomorrow though!
