#WritersCoffeeClub 11/27: How do you feel about the use of AI in writing?
What we are calling AI anyway, but to the meat of the question- I see people using it for technical things and I see the potential there. The problem is when it’s used for what should be creativity, writing or any kind of art. Because when “AI” spits out something it’s just remixing people’s efforts. It’s not creating something. There’s no emotion or experience or perspective. That’s not art.
@LuciaG I do understand this argument, and agree, but I can't help thinking about all the artists who sound/look/write like their influencers and idols. When you do your first recreation of an art piece, no one says you lack creativity. I bundle some ideas on AI into the "testicle stew" argument. It was tasty when you didn't know what it was, but when you are told you overthink and vomit....
